Book review- " Life is what you make it"

Paperback: 224 pages

Publisher: Srishti Publishers;

1 edition (1 January 2011)

Language: English

It's a story of love, hope, and how determination can overcome the destiny.

Set across two cities in India in the early eighties, "Life is What You Make it", is a gripping account of a few significant years of Ankita's life.

Ankita Sharma has the world at her feet. She is young, good-looking, smart, and has a lot of boys as friends swooning over her. She also manages to get into a premier management school for her MBA.

Six months later, she became a patient in a psychiatric hospital.

Life has cruelly and coldly snatched that which meant the most to her and now she must fight to get it all back.

The moment I started the book I was so amazed by the narration of the author and how he has woven the story with the threads of emotions.

It is a deeply moving and inspiring account of growing the power of faith and how determination and an indomitable spirit can overcome even when destiny is not in your favor. A tale, at its core which is a love story that makes us question our beliefs about ourselves and our concept of sanity, and forces us to believe that life is truly what one makes it.

The way the author shapes the story is very admirable and I was able to visualize all the content. All the lines were very clear which pulled me into the story. I was amazed that I found an emotional connection to the characters of the book.
